Local School Council Overview
The purpose of the Local School Council is to improve school performance by providing ongoing two-way communication with schools and school communities. School councils are mandated by the State of Georgia and the LSC system is implemented by Fulton County Schools. Specific areas of input are listed at www.fultonschools.org/lsac.
Membership Election Process
Each LSAC must be comprised of a majority of parent representatives, the school principal, and two teacher/faculty members. The parent representatives and teachers stand for election and serve two-year terms. Elections are held in early May of each year.
Meetings
Meeting times are posted on this website. Meetings are held throughout the school year and attendance is open to the school community. If you have a topic for the agenda, please contact the LSAC chair, Nan Bodeep one week prior to the meeting date.
